Spring has sprung!
The weather is warm, the flowers are blooming and I’m almost going through a tissue box a day with my hay fever. I keep forgetting to take an antihistamine in the morning! I should probably start adding it to my morning routine considering I bought a whole 50 pack for only $10 (Generic brand of course) just before I left for Europe.
On a lovely sun shining day I can’t get through 3 sentences without sneezing mid conversation.
ANYWAYS…
My mundane medical issues actually have nothing to do with the title of this little blog…
The start of spring means brings joy for so many reasons. The weather is getting warmer, the flowers are blooming beautifully and of course, the start of the Little Athletics season!
My 6:42AM alarms for every Saturday are back, the chaos of “wanting to arrive early for parking” yet
Also yes, I am in fact one of those people who sets their alarm and off times but I have an explanation which I’ll explain another time.
ANYWAYS no. 2
I’m back on the track to my role as the club big sister, serial chatterbox, chief crowd control, all self proclaimed titles.
It is actually so wonderful to be back with such lovely people. There’s just something about being a part of a sporting community that is just so heart-warming. It isn’t just seeing the same people every week once a week… well it is, but it’s a bit more than that. You watch the kids grow as athletes and little people throughout the season. I love interacting with the younger girls in particular because it allows me to take a step back from my busy day-to-day life and appreciate how precious children’s innocence is. It’s actually super entertaining to chat with them and listen to the contrast of ‘issues’ in our lives.
I love being out on the track when it makes me happy.
Keeping it short and sweet for the first week 🙂
