A collection of red and white pots in Murcia. This is actually the second time I’ve come across these pots. I was in Murcia to get my hair done which took a quicker than I expected so I decided to go for a walk around the city. The first time I came across these was way back in March at night. They are randomly arranged and after stopping for about 10 minutes walking around them we came to the realisation that they in fact do not spell anything. Even if they did I’m not sure if my Spanish would’ve been strong enough to crack the code.

Someone has put gum on her face!
If you zoom in closely you can see that there is a piece of gum stuck above her lip. I genuinely wonder how it got up there.
I was quite mesmerised by the sculpture on the corner of this building considering it was on what appeared to be just a random apartment building. Although it was in the outer part of the city closer to one of the museums and churches. I reckon when I go back I’ll still be able to identify where this exact building is in the city. I’ve grown to enjoy stopping and appreciating all the attention to detail in old Spanish architecture.

I’ve been to this restaurant before with my colleagues and I was so intrigued by the Waldorf salad on the menu but was too scared to order it just incase I wouldn’t like it.
I happened to come to this restaurant again so of course this time I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to try it. BEST SALAD EVER. Maybe it was the exact moment I was in when I ate here for the second time but it hit all the right spots (except for the fake cherries). From memory it consists of apples, pineapples, lettuce, walnuts andddd I’m gonna say mayo. Although I think it was more of like a Cesar salad type of dressing.

I could not for the life of me remember what this was called so I went on Google maps to find the restaurant and search up their menu. That didn’t work… BECAUSE I COULDN’T REMEMBER THE NAME DUH. Luckily there’s a photo of it on their menu highlights in Google. ~ That was we all so irrelevant… ANYWAYS~ I don’t think I finished this meal omdat ik heb een kleine maag {“I have a small stomach” in Dutch}. From memory, I think it’s like a deep fried beef taco? Actually don’t take my word for it. You’ll just have to try it yourself the next time you go to a Mexican restaurant.

There isn’t much of a story to this photo. Just a pretty picture I took at dinner.
Although, I do recall the waiters here were quite pushy trying to up sell when all we wanted were meatballs. The meatballs were quite nice I must say (but a bit pricey for what they were worth). As I was leaving some random man picked a few flowers from one of the bushes and went around trying to give them to some ladies. I did have a tiny sense of panic but the other part of me thought “hmmm i wonder if I give of the vibe that I’m in need of a flower right now.”
I quite like the colours in this photo. You can almost feel the warmth through the screen.

This photo was taken at 8:22AM just outside the main train station at Callosa de Segura. It was my first time actually seeing the town. The streets seemed quite open and peaceful. It kind of reminds me of Orihuela. I love the mountainous landscape I got used to in the latter. Callosa de Segura (or just Callosa as the locals call it) seems like quite an older city compared to Orihuela but I’ll spend more time exploring it when I head back and give a real comparison between the two towns.

A shameless screenshot from a Yade Lauren post. Yade is in fact my favourite Dutch female singer (WHO I AM YET TO SEE LIVE BUT WE ARE WORKING ON IT!!!).
Something about this quote just struck a chord with me. It’s so simple yet so true.
If someone makes you happy, make them happier 🙂
